SPACE by GBLabs is a high performance central storage system optimised for digital content creation and designed to work with any mix of Mac, Windows or Linux clients. SPACE is safe, fast and cost effective making it the perfect solution to the ever increasing need for fast and safe data storage. By using standard Ethernet connectivity in many cases Space is easy to install without the need for new cabling or client adaptor cards.
SPACE is available in two main configurations - Mini SPACE with 8 TByte and SPACE with 16 or 32 TByte - and with extra expansion options SPACE EX, and data duplication options SPACE ECHO.

Mini SPACE
Designed to be portable, the 8 drive Mini SPACE is much smaller and lighter than standard SPACE units but still has the benefit of RAID6 protected storage. Although originally designed for journalists to use in the field, Mini SPACE is also ideal for small office workgroups where the absence of a server room means this quiet desktop unit will fit right in and not be disruptive.

SPACE
SPACE builds upon the Mini SPACE by offering increased performance by the use of 16 rather than 8 drives which make it ideal for larger workgroups. It also offers improved reliability through redundant removable PSUs, has a rack mount form factor, and by the use of SPACE EX expansion units the capacity and performance can be expanded.

SPACE ECHO
Data & Volume replication can be achieved with SPACE ECHO. Ideal as an in house back up system, or for providing a disaster recovery strategy worldwide. Each SPACE system can be configured to periodically back up to a SPACE ECHO. SPACE ECHO can be installed in a second office or data centre anywhere in the world and will automatically back up the changes made to your primary SPACE unit.
SPACE ECHOs offer the same features as a SPACE but do not offer the same level of performance. However, SPACE ECHOs cost a fraction of the same capacity SPACE, and like SPACE models they can have their capacity expanded using SPACE EX units.
SPACE EX
The 16 drive rack mount SPACE EX are expansion units for SPACE and SPACE ECHO that are connected using SAS expansion. These cost effective expansion models cost a fraction of the same capacity SPACE model. Up to a maximum of five SPACE EX can be connect to a single SPACE or SPACE ECHO offering a total RAW capacity of 160 Tbytes.
In addition to this, when one or more SPACE EX is connected to a SPACE, the performance of the SPACE is doubled.
