Boris AAF Transfer is a custom Apple Final Cut Pro plug-in that lets you export AAF files from Final Cut Pro sequences for import into Avid Media Composer. Because the entire live Final Cut Pro program sequence is transferred - with media, markers, cuts, dissolves, filters, and audio preserved - the transferred sequence can be edited and finished in the Media Composer timeline without returning to Final Cut Pro.
What is Unique about Boris AAF Transfer?
• Alpha Channel Support. Transfer still images and video clips while retaining alpha information, preserving the alpha channel. The transferred sequence appears exactly the same in Media Composer as it did in FCP.
• Boris Continuum Complete Compatibility. Transfer BCC filters and transitions that were applied to clips or transitions in the FCP timeline while retaining all of the keyframed changes that were made to the applied filter or transition effect. AJA Software v8 for Mac and AJA Mac plug-ins for Adobe CS5 - now available!
AJA is pleased to announce that KONA3 Stereoscopic 3D output from CineForm NEO 3D is now available. The combination of a KONA3 board, CineForm NEO3D software and compatible applications like Final Cut Pro offers a powerful 3D stereo post production environment.
In addition, both KONA LHi and KONA 3 now support additional 2K formats along with other features. All KONA boards as well as io HD receive improvements and fixes in the version 8 software and we recommend all current users to download v8 for free from the AJA website.
Last December the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) released the completed specification for 3D on Blu-ray Disc.
The specification includes full 1080p resolution and backward compatibility for 3D players and 3D Blu-ray Discs - this means that the standard Blu-ray Disc titles will play in new 3D players, and new 3D discs will play in current players. Encoding will be in a new MVC codec - an extension to the existing AVC codec.
Now Sonic starts the 3DAccess program for existing Sonic Blu-ray Disc system owners. During the summer studio's have access to new tools for production of 3D titles. In september full commercial releases will be ready to go.
